At Acquire, our customers a comprehensive range of advanced professional services, aligning to the same high standards that are provided by the vendor. Acquire Professional Services for Nutanix gives our customers access to the Professional Services at the highest level of support.
The Nutanix Installation Service provides customers the services they need to stand up a new Nutanix infrastructure stack that is fully integrated into their environment. It provides all required components including server and switching installation, Hypervisor (AHV, vSphere or Hyper-V) and Prism Central installation as well as migration activities required to transfer test virtual machines to the new Nutanix infrastructure stack.
Features
• Install and configure Nutanix AHV (or VMware vSphere or Windows Hyper-V) onto all hosts
• Install and configure Nutanix Prism Central Server appliance
• Conduct verification and resiliency testing on the new infrastructure
• Migrate and test up to five virtual machines as designated by the customer
• License the new infrastructure components
• If multiple Nutanix clusters are in use, configure: Async DR Protection Domains (up to 3), Protected VMs (up to 5) and Replication Schedules
• Monitor the new infrastructure and tune accordingly for 1 week
• Provide an as-built document for the new Nutanix infrastructure
• Conduct a 4 hour handover meeting with the customer.
Specs
CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Allocate a single contact point for planning and escalation
- Provide valid licenses and/or entitlement information when requested
- Communicate the works to the business and arrange any necessary change requests or maintenance windows
- Agree to a date and time suitable for both parties for the installation
- Ensure all backups and fail safes are in place prior to any work commencing
- Ensure all operating and software products are properly licensed
- Provide sufficient network connectivity and remote access to Arrow as required to complete the installation
- Sign off and agree to all deliverables in this Service Brief in a timely manner as agreed to by Arrow
PROVIDER RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to the obligations outlined in this Service Brief, the Acquire partner will:
- Allocate appropriate skilled and certified resources to complete all tasks
- Ensure personnel are available to complete all allocated hours of work
- Assign a primary contact to oversee the overall engagement of work
- Fulfil all obligations and responsibilities outlined in this Service Brief
ASSUMPTIONS
Any deliverables or services not described in this Service Brief are considered outside the scope. In offering this service, we rely on the following assumptions:
- Work will be completed both onsite and remotely in Australia/New Zealand
- Engineers will be given login credentials with appropriate privileges to complete the task
- There will be one point of contact in which to plan the service and escalate issues
- All migration work will be completed outside business hours or as advised by the customer
- The customer has valid licenses and/or entitlements to complete the installation
- All equipment ready on the day
- Services performed for a single site and one trip
- All third-party integrations with the environment will be performed by the customer
- All required server environment tasks, (such as, but not limited to: Active Directory, LDAP, NPS/RADIUS configurations and virtual machine provisioning) will be made by CUSTOMER. Corresponding tasks on equipment covered by this SOW to be performed by Arrow
- A new Nutanix Prism Central Server appliance will be installed as part of the service
- All required hosts will have AHV, ESXi or Hyper-V installed as part of the service
- Any required SSL certificates provided by the CUSTOMER
- The server, network and storage infrastructure required to complete the project will be available prior to work commencing
- Customer will be responsible for packaging material disposal
- The infrastructure may be staged to part or final configuration prior to shipping to the customer site
- All hardware purchased is either Nutanix branded, a Nutanix OEM platform or has been validated against the Nutanix HCL Approved Platforms guide found at https:// www.nutanix.com/documents/support/ nutanix-hcl-approved-platforms.pdf
- No faults exist in the current infrastructure that may prevent the installation and migration from occurring
If any of the assumptions within this Service Brief are required to change, are inaccurate or invalid, Arrow reserves the right to re-negotiate the terms of this Service Brief and re-evaluate the required services (this may incur extra costs that will be communicated accordingly).
OUT OF SCOPE
- Any activity outside of the tasks and timings listed in the Service Brief
- Updates or the creation of any documentation
- Migration of Raw Device Mapping (RDM) volumes
- Any data network and firewall configurations
- Any VMware P2V conversions
- Migration of either Direct attached volumes or Nutanix Volume Groups
- Re-configuration and/or integration of any third party products/applications that connect directly to the deployed solution including backup software, hypervisors
or management platforms and any other Nutanix product not specifically listed as part of this Service Brief
