Features


With a docking station, you can connect to a full-size monitor, Ethernet, external speakers, and more. Simply put your Surface into the docking station and slide in the sides. The docking station also charges your Surface.

Charging port

The charging port connects your docking station to a power supply, allowing it to recharge your Surface.

Mini DisplayPort

The Mini DisplayPort is where you connect your external monitor. Depending on your monitor's connectors, you may need a video adapter (sold separately).

USB ports

- Transfer large files to an external drive, connect a USB printer or headset, charge accessories, and more.
- Surface 3 Docking Station has two USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports.

Audio ports

Connect your favorite audio accessories to your docking station's 3.5 mm audio port.

Ethernet port

When you need the reliability of wired network connection, you can connect Surface to a wired network via the docking station's Ethernet port.
