Overview
Sony co-developed the DDS format in 1987. DDS offers a superior, reliable recording medium suitable for a wide range of applications and platforms. DDS features a High-Density Alloy (HDA) metal tape, which ensures high performance and long archival life. The new DDS cleaning cartridge incorporates a thin tape, minimising drive headwear while maximising cleaning effectiveness.
