Microsoft Warns security risks for Windows 98 and ME
If you are using Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition or Windows
Millennium Edition be aware that support for these operating systems is about to
end.
Users of these systems will face greater security risk as time goes on -
Microsoft is stopping the monthly security patches and software updates.
Microsoft says it isn't feasible to keep these older operating systems safe, as
it would involve considerable re-engineering to eliminate security risks.
Support for these systems will end on the last update scheduled on the 11th of
July.
Support for Windows XP SP1 will end on the 10th of October
